Privacy policy.

How we handle the information you share with us. In plain language.

Last updated: May 3, 2026

This privacy policy explains what information The Plug Quest (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects from visitors to theplug.quest, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

What we collect

We collect information in two ways:

Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, venue name, email address, phone number, your preferred contact method, and any message you choose to share. All of these fields are submitted voluntarily by you.

Technical information collected automatically. Our website uses standard web technologies that collect basic technical data when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and the time of your visit. Our security plugin (Wordfence) logs this kind of information to identify and block malicious activity. We do not use this information to build profiles of individual visitors.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit through our contact form for one purpose only: to respond to your inquiry about hosting a Plug Quest vending machine at your venue. We do not use this information for marketing emails, newsletters, advertising, or any purpose other than direct communication with you about your inquiry.

We use technical information to keep the website secure, fix bugs, and understand basic patterns about how the site is used.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information with a small number of service providers who help us operate the site, and only the information they need to do their job:

Brevo — handles the delivery of contact form submissions to our email inbox. When you submit our form, Brevo processes the submission and sends it to us. Brevo’s privacy practices are described at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.

Namecheap — hosts our website. Standard server logs (IP addresses, request times) are processed by Namecheap as part of normal hosting operations.

Google — we back up our website to Google Drive and use Google’s email service (Gmail) to read and respond to inquiries. Information you send us via the contact form ends up in our Gmail inbox.

We may also disclose information if required to by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena or court order), or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Plug Quest or others.

How long we keep it

We retain contact form submissions in our email for as long as we have an active business relationship with you, or for as long as the inquiry remains relevant. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below, and we will do so unless we are required by law to keep it.

Server logs and security logs are typically retained for 30 to 90 days before being deleted automatically.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Ask us what personal information we have about you. Ask us to correct inaccurate information. Ask us to delete your information. Ask us to stop processing your information. Withdraw consent you previously gave us at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@theplug.quest. We will respond within a reasonable time.

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights under that state’s law. If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR. We honor those rights regardless of where you live.

Cookies

Our website uses a small number of essential cookies needed for the site to function properly. These include cookies set by WordPress (for example, to remember if you are logged in to an admin account) and our security plugin. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. If we add analytics or other technologies in the future that change this, we will update this policy.

Children

This website is intended for business contacts at venues. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our business, our tools, or applicable laws change. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we will make a more visible announcement on the site.
